I have been fascinated by our local Pacific Northwest Mushrooms for quite sometime and have been learning as much as I can about these special forest allies.
Over that last couple years I have been slowly experimenting, making different extracts, drinking teas & mushroom "coffee" , making amazing mushroom infused bone broths and more.
One of my favorites especially with the Mushroom Conks aka Western Reishi, Artist conk, Red-Belted Polypore, and Turkey tails. Is to make a dual extraction where I first make a very strong tea decoction and letting it simmer down to a dark rich concentrated water extract. This step extracts the essential water soluble polysaccharides. After letting the tea cool I pour the whole decoction into my vita-mix and double the liquid with 95% Organic Sugar Cane Alcohol. The alcohol pulls out the alcohol soluble terpenoids. Add some honey for its amazing health properties and its ability to also extract different alkaloids. Blend it all up and let it macerate for 2-4 weeks shaking it everyday. In the end you get a most complete full spectrum extract that is not only easy to take but small enough that you can bring it with you anywhere you like.
So with all that said we are excited to be launching our new Dual Extracted or should I say "Triple" extracted Mushroom Honey Extracts!
